Erech Halvaot Ke-halacha vs. Motti Gruzman

On September 6, 2018, Erech Halvaot Ke-halacha LTD extended a loan of 1 million euro to a foreign company under the ownership of Motti Gruzman. Gruzman served as the guarantor for the company's repayment obligations, which were initially due by June 15, 2020. However, the loan remained outstanding despite the passage of time. Various amendments to the agreement were made, with the final revision setting a new maturity date of July 31, 2022. Nevertheless, the loan remained unpaid even after this extension.

❞The creditor states that from the debtor's request, a grim picture emerges of a debtor who presents foreign properties to Israelis for purchase, takes their money, and subsequently it becomes clear to the buyers that there is no property for sale, and their money has been lost. The debtor does not return the funds. According to the creditor, this is a scam operation by the debtor, who is a recidivist, creating false representations to potential buyers.❝

From the decision in a general request dated 24_07_2023

In a legal ruling, the court dismissed Gruzman's objections and referred the case to the Execution Office for further proceedings. Motti Gruzman has been directed to reimburse the plaintiff for expenses and legal fees, totaling NIS 55,000. Additionally, he has been subjected to a travel ban.
